Sauna Trivia #54: The word SAUNA is spelled the same way in, among others, Finnish, English, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Dutch, Danish. Lithuanian, Serbo-Croatian, Romanian, and Norwegian. in Japanese the word uses the katakana characters and is spelled 'sa-u-na' also. This is unusual for katakana words, as they rarely match the original spelling.
